Fashion designer of Sirenes & Canea Collections
Her big love for fashion was the inspiration to design her first
collection named “Sirenes Collection”, in 2016. Her other big
love, her birthplace, became the inspiration of yet another project,
the “Canea Collection”, featuring airy dresses and kimonos that
depict traditional Cretan wefts with geometric design, motifs and
colours coming out of the Chanean frescoes she admired since
childhood. Designs that are not woven nowadays are illustrated
on silk fabric, combining haute couture with the Chanean rich
tradition. Η μεγάλη της αγάπη για τη μόδα την οδήγησε το 2016
στην πρώτη της συλλογή, με όνομα Sirenes Collection. Η άλλη
μεγάλη της αγάπη, ο τόπος της, αποτέλεσε πηγή έμπνευσης
για ακόμα μία συλλογή, την Canea Collection, με αέρινα
φορέματα και κιμονό που αποτυπώνουν παραδοσιακά κρητικά
υφαντά με γεωμετρικό διάκοσμο, με σχέδια και χρώματα των
χανιώτικων νωπογραφιών, τις οποίες η Έύη θαύμαζε από
μικρή. Δημιουργίες που δεν υφαίνονται στη σημερινή εποχή
αποτυπώνονται πάνω σε μεταξωτά υφάσματα, συνδυάζοντας
την υψηλή ραπτική με την πλούσια χανιώτικη παράδοση.
