KNOSSOS
At the heart of the Minoan civilization
you will find the main visiting area of the
ancient city of Knossos. The Minoan palace,
that according to tradition was home to the
mythical king Minos, was inhabited from
the Neolithic Period to the 5th cent. and
was discovered thanks to the excavation
works of Minoas Kalokairinos and Sir Arthur
Evans. It is connected to the legends of the
Minotaur in the Labyrinth and of Daidalos
and Ikaros. Στην καρδιά του μινωικού
πολιτισμού, θα βρείτε τον κύριο επισκέψιμο
χώρο της αρχαίας πόλης της Κνωσσού.
Το μινωικό ανάκτορο, που σύμφωνα με
την παράδοση αποτελούσε την έδρα του
μυθικού βασιλιά Μίνωα, κατοικήθηκε από
τη Νεολιθική Περίοδο μέχρι τον 5ο αιώνα
και ανακαλύφθηκε από τις ανασκαφές των
Μίνωα Καλοκαιρινού και σερ Arthur Evans.
Συνδέεται με τους μύθους του Μινώταυρου
στο Λαβύρινθο και του Δαίδαλου με τον
