Origami in Japanese is the art of folding paper.
For Chara and Michalis it was not only a beautiful
name for their office, but the cornerstone of their
philosophy. As this art shapes a paper, through
elaborate folds, in a three dimension sculpture,
so they see space as a paper and through the
understanding of the needs and of design the
sculpture is born, the shaped space which will give
life to its user. They love Chania’s architecture,
and their favourite example is the Old Town, its
narrow alleys, the beautiful buildings that remain
untouched by time combined with the landscape
of the harbour, which carries you away. Origami

χαρτιού. Για τη Χαρά και τον Μιχάλη, δεν ήταν
απλώς ένα ωραίο όνομα για το γραφείο τους, αλλά
και ακρογωνιαίος λίθος της φιλοσοφίας τους.
Όπως η τέχνη αυτή διαμορφώνει ένα χαρτί, μέσα
από περίτεχνα διπλώματα, σε ένα τρισδιάστατο
γλυπτό, έτσι και οι ίδιοι βλέπουν το χώρο σαν
ένα χαρτί και μέσω της κατανόησης των αναγκών
και του σχεδιασμού προκύπτει το γλυπτό, ο
διαμορφωμένος χώρος που θα δώσει ζωή στο
χρήστη του. Λατρεύουν την αρχιτεκτονική των
Χανίων και αγαπημένο τους δείγμα αποτελεί η
Παλιά Πόλη, τα στενά της δρομάκια, τα όμορφα
κτίρια που έχουν μείνει αναλλοίωτα στο χρόνο σε
συνδυασμό με το τοπίο του λιμανιού, που απλώς
