As he studied Forestry and Natural Science at the
University of Thessaloniki, photographing birds was
initially a mean of learning and recording of the natural
world until it became gradually a quest for beauty. Τhe
talented photographer believes that the variety of flora
and fauna and the alternation of landscapes in the
photogenic Chania produce an attractive mosaic that is
a unique opportunity for wonderful photographs for his
portfolio. If he had to choose one picture that represents
the atmosphere of Chania –from mountainous
landscapes to wildlife–, he would focus his camera lens
on the Aradena Gorge. Σπουδάζοντας Δασολογία
και Φυσικό Περιβάλλον στο ΑΠΘ, η φωτογράφιση
πτηνών ξεκίνησε ως μέσο καταγραφής και εκμάθησης,
ώσπου μετατράπηκε σε αναζήτηση της όμορφης
εικόνας. Ο ταλαντούχος φωτογράφος πιστεύει πως
η εναλλαγή τοπίων στα φωτογενή Χανιά συνθέτει
ένα μωσαϊκό σημαντικής ποικιλότητας χλωρίδας και
πανίδας, δίνοντας γενναιόδωρα ευκαιρίες να γεμίσει
τις κάρτες του με υπέροχα στιγμιότυπα, ενώ αν
έπρεπε να «κλείσει» το χαρακτήρα των Χανίων σε μια
φωτογραφία, ο φακός του θα έκανε focus στο Φαράγγι
της Αράδαινας.
